A luminous first evening where fine dining met elegant poker lounges
On our grand opening night, GrandStackSociety revealed its full vision: a contemporary Australian restaurant where award-worthy cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and designer interiors meet the quiet thrill of purely recreational poker evenings. Guests stepped through softly lit glass doors into a space layered with travertine stone, oak, brushed brass and lush greenery, framed by cinematic hospitality photography in motion.
Throughout the evening, tasting plates moved between tables like choreography – Fraser Island spanner crab tartlets, charcoal-grilled Margaret River beef, and native citrus–laced desserts glowed under architectural lighting. In the adjoining poker lounge, cashless tables invited guests to experience the art of the game without any real-money gambling, emphasising conversation, camaraderie and relaxed Australian hosting.
Between courses, guests drifted between the dining room and lounge, carrying coupe glasses of champagne, signature martinis and non-alcoholic spritzes. Laughter, gentle card shuffles and the clink of crystal created a soundtrack that felt more like an editorial film set than a traditional restaurant launch. The night set the tone for everything GrandStackSociety would become: refined, welcoming and entirely centred on memorable social experiences.
